How SniperSpy Works

The SniperSpy computer monitoring system is based on a simple flow of data from the monitored computer, across the internet, and to the company’s servers. It is based on these 4 points:

  1. The software module works in background of the computer to be monitored.
  2. Information collected is transmitted across the internet to the SniperSpy servers.
  3. Collected information is indexed under your subscriber account.
  4. You view all information through your subscriber control panel.

SniperSpy recommends that you have a high-speed internet connection because of the bandwidth needed to efficiently send collected data across it. However, the system will work on a dial-up 56k line.

Getting Up and Running

To begin your journey using SniperSpy computer monitoring software, you need to follow these 5 steps:

1. Buy a subscription.

Each computer that you need to monitor will need a subscription purchased.

2. Register your account.

After successfully making your purchase, you will get the license registration code in your email. You will then need to go to the SniperSpy registration page to create an account that is associated with your email address. You will also generate a password.

3. Setup your subscriber control panel.

At this point, you’ll need to log in to your SniperSpy subscriber control panel and add the registration code for each computer that you will be monitoring. You can monitor multiple computers from the same control panel.

4. Get the software and install it.

Download the software that will be running on the monitored computer. You can either do a remote installation from your subscriber control panel or download it while sitting at the computer to be monitored.

5. Log in to your account and begin analyzing.

After the SniperSpy software is installed on the computer that you will monitor, the app begins doing its work of collecting logs. The first collection of logs will be sent about 15 minutes after installing the app. Then, they will be updated at intervals of 6 minutes after that.

Before purchasing your subscription, you will need to agree to the SniperSpy terms of service. Their most important requirement is that you are the owner of the PC to be monitored or have express written consent to monitor from the person who actually owns it.
